Required hardware

The required hardware is mainly based on a computer connected to a velleman card K8055:

Velleman K8055 interface Board

This card is controlled via USB . It has 8 digital outputs + 2 analogic ones and 5 digital inputs + 2 analogic ones.
It has counter function on the 2 first digital inputs, which can be used whith flowmeters or others sensors

2 K2633 relay cards

which allows to connect ouput materials like pumps, lights, ...

Phidgets Ph probe card

A computer, that is a motherboard, a processor, an hard disk, a power supply 

I decided to use a mini-itx motherboard: These ones are small (17cm*17), fanless (no noise),...
But a classical computer with a 200Mhz processor or less and 64 Mo of RAM is suffisant.

Water level sensor

Used to control the low and high level water in the sump.
You can find different sensors
Example in radiospares (ref 331-017). This one is the advantage te be manipuled to choose its initial state(open or closed) by reversing the float

Flowmeter

One more time, it exists different kinds of flowmeters. The easier ones give X impulses / L.
Example of flowmeter in conrad (ref 187151-62): 1800 impulses /L. must be connected to a digital input to count the impulses (in a later version of aquanywhere)s.

LCD screen

Several kinds of lcd screen can be used. (list here).
In the current configuration, the screen must be a pertelian one, if you whish to use another screen, you neeed to modify the file /etc/lcd4linux.conf to indicate the driver.

To install a pertelian screen, you only need to plug it into an usb port. Be careful, if you have several usb elements. You need to use a powered usb hub !

Most of velleman cards must be assembled, however with their docs it is not difficult at all !
